Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a boy sustained serious injuries in an incident involving an e-bike yesterday (Thursday 29 October). We were called at 4.12pm by the ambulance service with a report of an incident in Victory Park off Church Road in Cainscross. It was reported that an electronically assisted pedal cycle, which was being ridden by a boy along with a pillion, had collided with a wall in the park. Emergency services attended the scene and a 13-year-old boy was taken to Bristol Children's Hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries. He remains there in a stable condition. An 11-year-old boy, who had also been on the bike, was taken to hospital after he sustained minor injuries. Officers are making enquiries to establish the circumstances around what happened, and are asking for any one who witnessed the incident to contact them. On police arrival at the scene, the bike had been removed, and enquiries into this are ongoing.
